Museum Pieces

Mother & Child
Family vacation in the summer of 2012 took us to the Ripley's Believe It or Not museum in Williamsburg, Virginia. It was awesome!
Too much to see, pennies to smash, cousins to keep up with, I only had time for a few photos. Most were of this wonderful artwork.

The sign says:

Junk Art Figure of Mother & Child

Created by renowned "junk" artist Leo Sewell of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Believe It or Not!, these people are made from common kitchen utensils, plumbing supplies, auto parts, toys and rubbish.

Spoiler: I believe it.

"Child" has a Fisher Price mom in his face

Organizing

In the worldly knowledge of my twilight years (hah), I have come to realize that most things I find as road blocks, things I have troubles with, even though it sure feels like, at the time, that I am the only one who has ever had this problem, that I am not so egotistically unique.
What I am alluding to here is what I've decided to call Organization Avalanche. When trying to do one thing, only makes you think of ten things you need to do first, and, of course, when you start to do one of those things, that gives youten more things for each of those things (it's a Potsie scheme)!!
I'm trying to give mouth-to-mouth to this blog, and have decided to post old photos along with my ramblings, but all my old photos weren't tagged on the new computer. (and the 'new' computer has only been here for half a year, you'd think I could'a gotten that done by now!)

Long & Rambling #X

Where to start? I imagine several long, rambly, possibly TMI, probably incoherant posts, bringing this blog back in line with my brain, so I may as well just jump in wherever.
For my birthday, my wonderful BFF got me an iPod Touch. He's been enjoying his for a few months now, has come to find it invaluable, and knew that I would fall in love with one, too. My birthday, for those playing along at home, is five days before Christmas, so I haven't quite had my new tool for a month yet, but yes, I love it, and I am writing right now on it. (with it?)
And with a new tool, comes new commitment, maybe even new inspiration, and I will be able to get the words out of my head while they are fresh, and not have to try to recreate a thought or feeling hours or days later, when I finally feel that I have the right amount of time.
